Kahtan Alamery is an Iraqi born New York freelance photographer, trained as a filmmaker but leaned toward photography. “I wanted to stop the image and give the viewer a chance to start a dialogue and to connect with the subject.” Spent the last 5 years traveling to 40 countries, covering stories in conflict/crisis zones (Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon) and developing countries (Central America and South East Asia)
