The TCI's Emerging Photographer program is a unique opportunity for the emerging photographer or amateur looking to take their work to a higher level and the photographer whose aspirations run to the professional. This exciting program offers photographers the opportunity to develop and refine their vision via a combination of progressive and related courses, consultations and professional portfolio reviews by TCI instructors.

The Compelling Image Is an online-interactive school of photography, video production and multimedia storytelling taught by leading professional media creators. Winner of a 2011 PhotoPhilanthropy Award, Anne Salminen-Cesari studied political science at the University of Bologna, Italy and subsequently earned a Master's degree in Human Rights from the University of Padova, Italy.  After working in the human rights field for an international agency in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, she began to cultivate her passion for photography.  Today, Anne bases herself with her family in Nairobi, Kenya, where she works as a freelance photographer.

Kasandra Antoine

Kasandra Antoine was born in 1987. She is a free-lance photographer living in South Korea. Kasandra discovered her passion for photography while documenting the traditional festivals of Peru's Andean region for a university ethnomusicology course. Kasandra's photos are mainly focused on travel and culture.

Vlad Sokhin

Russian photographer, residing in Portugal. Studied photography in IADE (Lisbon, Portugal), and Photojournalism (course by Russian photojournalist Sergey Maximishin) in "Atelier de Imagem" (Lisbon, Portugal). Currently collaborating with the Portuguese photo-agency "Atlantico Press" and the Russian "Nezavisimaia Gazeta" ("Independent Newspaper"). Is now working on an independent photo-documentary project "The Spirits of Mozambique" about the traditional spiritual life of Mozambicans.
