Timor L'este- An Intimate Portrait
Description: The village of Neformtasa, Oecussi, Timor L'este was almost completely destroyed during the ensuing bloodshed that occurred in 1999 after a UN supervised referendum to decide East Timor's independence from Indonesia. Most of the population of East Timor is Catholic and consequently the village church is a revered edifice. This old man poses proudly inside the church which has been rebuilt and he curates.

Tell the story
I looked at this photo and attempted to gain an idea of what you were trying to achieve before I read the description. The framing and lighting needs a lot of work. Your key words in your description state revered edifice and poses proudly inside the church. I feel you could have framed the man much better to evoke his proudness that you state and the cross gives a suggestion of a chuch but there is no suggestion of revered or grandness of this place. The photo lacks a sense of place and framing is again the culprit here.
