Description: ?CHARKH ? (Whirling) is a particular movement in Zoorkhaneh exercises & one of the most graceful actions, having different styles. To begin whirling, the athletes stand in a circle with their backs to the walls of the pit. Then the youngest of all moves to the middle and starts turning, first rather slowly and then as fast as he can. After him, the second youngest starts whirling and then each of the athletes takes his turn, until the oldest brings this particular round of action to an end. Accompanied by the drumbeat, the athletes whirl either in one spot or around the pit. Every athlete has his own style of whirling which takes shape in accordance with the drumbeat. It is interesting to know that the athletes never feel dizzy or lose control after whirling .
